Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are hypocrites in terms of their kids' privacy. amirite?
by Anonymous3 days ago
How is that hypocritical? They don't believe kids photos should be published, and they adhere to this. How does telling parent stories alter that?

I think their point is that the idea that the children should have privacy clearly doesnt extend beyond the idea of not wanting social media or paparazzi to take photos of them which is an extremely superficial take on the idea of privacy.

I think I get what op means and I kind of agree it's a bit hypocritical. Caring about privacy for kids should mean caring about privacy across all realms. If kids can't consent to having their images shared online they also can't consent to having their private moments shared.

Dax is super irritating in general. The way he behaves on his podcast is…

Yeah how hypocritical for parents to want safeguards to be able to choose what they want to share with the public….

The real unpopular opinion is the unwanted knowledge we learned along the way...

They've been together for a very long time. This particular action was extremely performative, but they said that they didn't want to get married until gay marriage was legal, but I can't remember if they wanted it legal in California or everywhere before they got married. They do have kids, and they have been very strong advocates for children having privacy when it comes to media. They don't want other people to have to deal with their children being hounded by paparazzi, and frankly I think that should be illegal anyway. Paparazzi should be illegal. Lindsay Lohan shouldn't have had to move to freaking Dubai so she could recover from her various addictions in privacy (they have super strict photo laws there).

Parents can do what they want with their kids and the fact you care this much about it is weird.
by greenmossie3 days ago
Which has nothing to do with what the OP is talking about.

Over sharing about their kids might be considered breach of trust and privacy from their kids. Honestly we don't know, but avoiding talking about them in the first place is a good way not to do that. They should definitely stay away from embarrassing stories.

Look at the Kardashians, where they hide their sons from the public but they exploited their daughters in the public. Even Beyoncé doing this with Blue Ivy. Why don't Kristen & Dax criticized The Kardashians and Beyoncé for exploited their daughters? Oddly, Kristen & Dax are silent.

Why do they hide the boys?! So weird, I never realized.

It's really not odd that two celebrity parents aren't publicly judging other celebrity paren't choices. Publicly judging the parenting choices of others is not the public service you seem to think it is.
by Anonymous3 days ago
Again why do you care so much. They arent your kids. They arent doing anything illegal.
by greenmossie3 days ago
What i do with my children is different than what someone else does. You realize that right?
by Anonymous3 days ago
Imagine caring this much about celebrities and their children. Embarrassing.

Maybe it should be up to a parants discretion. What is ok to release on a public platform, etc

Are you not from America? In my country, Kristen & Dax are little know here.
