I've tried some, but the dentist recommended pronamel because of a cracked tooth. I will say that after a year, it seems to have helped immensely.
by Objective_Year_98633 days ago
I found Pronamel in strawberry! It's the kids one so might have less active ingredients so idk if it'll work for you, but I'm in a similar situation with being a night grinder and hating toothpaste lol, and I've found it a lot easier to not dread brushing. It's definitely not perfect, it still has the toothpaste-y undertones and aftertaste, but wayyy better than the mint imo. It's exciting because I think it's the first sensitivity toothpaste I've ever encountered that isn't just straight up mint flavoured. It's so frustrating that mint is considered some kind of universally likeable flavour, it's gross af, tastes terrible, feels terrible, aftertaste is terrible and lasts way too long. I miss when cinnamon was an option, what ever happened to cinnamon as a dental flavour? It wasn't perfect but better than garbage ass mint.

It is delicious

Unflavored toothpaste exists also you can use children's toothpaste that has fluoride but milder flavors.

Toothpaste isn't meant to taste good

Wow it's almost like they... don't want you to swallow it or something? Can't imagine why that would be for something harmful to ingest lots of...

When did OP say that they swallow it?
by Connect_Cell3 days ago
He's saying that toothpaste intentionally tastes bad to discourage kids from drinking the tube of toothpaste they find in their parents drawer, not to discourage adults like OP not to swallow it.

When did I say that OP said that they swallowed it?

Why are you so combative? Take a deep breath and go outside. Get some fresh air.

Dragon dazzle blue raspberry. It's not minty and makes me feel clean. For the grinding ask the dentist for a mouth guard.

Use baking soda and water to make a paste
by Anonymous2 days ago
I feel ya. They need to make fruity flavored toothpaste for adults! I also use pronamel because my teeth suck and they're all just some variation of mint with stupid names. Alpine Breeze is my least favorite. Something about it tastes like minty plastic and it's atrocious. I also brush and floss every day because I hate dental work, but after a childhood of neglect, it only made it harder to make brushing and flossing a daily habit when it all tastes bad.

Check out HiSmile! They have tons of flavored toothpastes. They are more expensive but for me it's worth it because I hate the taste of toothpaste so much.
by Anonymous2 days ago
Omg, looking at their website now. Holy moly, I am for sure trying some of these.
by Jedediahmurazik2 days ago
They do. Try Hismile toothpastes. My current toothpaste is blue raspberry flavored ๐

When I was younger we ran out and my mom made us use baking soda. I think I cried๐

You're not supposed to wash the toothpaste off with a water rinse afterwards, that undoes a great deal of the benefit
by Anonymous2 days ago
My mind was blown when a dentist told this to me. Because I was always told to rinse after. But it makes sense.
by Medical-Ad91482 days ago
So the dentist tells me. But grinding issues aside, I've gotten stellar reviews from my dentist on my check ups for years.

I'm currently using a black charcoal toothpaste.
by NewOffer2 days ago
Apparently charcoal toothpaste doesn't have any actual proven benefits and may be even bad for your teeth. Blew me away when I found that out a few months ago
by Mortonbauch2 days ago
Unless the black color sticks to condensed areas of plaque buildup so people know to brush those areas off better. They make dies for that to teach people to brush better. Not sure if this works that way.
by BeautifulTouch3552 days ago
I hate it too. I use baking soda.
by sylvankub2 days ago
I use Hismile toothpaste and it's so much better. There's lots of different flavors to choose from and they don't use sodium lauryl sulfate which is the ingredient that makes food and drink taste awful for ages after you brush your teeth.
by reynoldstiara2 days ago
Rinsing with water right after brushing washes away the toothpaste that's still working on your teeth. You're not giving your pronamel enough time to work anyway, you might as well get a brand with a flavor you like
by FewTone36522 days ago
There's literally like 100 different kinds of toothpaste and you cannot tell me you've tried every single one so this statement is just incorrect, it's not even an opinion that you can have until you try all of them.
by Pleasant-Scratch2 days ago
pronamel kids strawberry toothpaste could be the better option, no harmful ingredients either.
by Will222 days ago
I used to dislike toothpaste as a kid but now it's ok. I don't like it but it's ok. I do like mint tho but I can barely taste it much. Probably bc I just as a tiny bit bc of habit
by Anonymous2 days ago
U r a fool. Mint is the best flavour. I get that it doesn't taste as good mixed with others but alone it tastes divine. God tier fr
by Complex_Witness2 days ago
I also find the flavor of MINT (not just toothpaste) appalling....I use cinnamon flavored toothpaste exclusively

Euthymol
by Anonymous2 days ago
Get a bruxism appliance for the grinding (you won't need the pronamel), and switch to a kids' fruity flavored toothpaste. Then try not to rinse after, as you'll negate the benefits of the fluoride in the paste (spit well only)
by Limp-Pie48272 days ago
Those old crest toothpaste were amazing. Colgate is disgusting but crest is better..for now atleast.
by Anonymous2 days ago
crest with scope for the win

Probably the most common flavor of toothpaste that's not mint is cinnamon, and it's in every store.
by WaterValuable73312 days ago
where?? I haven't seen cinnamon fluoride toothpaste in any store in like ten years. It's hard to even find kids ones that aren't something else mixed with mint.

Walmart. I buy it there every few months. A quick Amazon search shows a 3 pack for $20. A little pricey but I'd pay it if I had to.
