+39 Eminem make us assholes (Gen Mil) amirite?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

It's just entertainment. Do Quentin Tarantino films spread hate and violence? It's harmless escapism. Like video games.

I take it Eminem is the only musical artist you've ever listened to?

by ConfidenceExternal 2 days ago

I'm referring to one of the most popular artists of my generation.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Hes genx.

by New_Assistant 2 days ago

I mean, I rarely see him in interviews. at least he seems to keep to himself

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Yeah, you're right. I'm def referring to younger him. People grow and I'm sure he did.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I'd argue Eminem speaks to an already angry generation, not that he made/makes us angry.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

As he's aged, his ability to include introspection into his music has grown. For that, I have mad respect for him. Yeah, a lot of his music is "angry". If anything, your opinion should be more applicable to the people who buy his music. His sales numbers tell me that he's making music that people wanna hear.

Thank you, I like this feedback

Eminem is 52 years old. Wouldn't he make Gen X look like assholes?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I dunno, music is an outlet for people. I mean think about the way he's grown up. All that anger, hate, it's better for him to get it out. The way I grew up, I relate to his music. I don't think he's an asshole, that seems like a misconception. Sure his music might seem that way, but most people have said he's a genuinely good guy. Listen to the song "mockingbird". It's about his daughter. I promise you, he's not an asshole, even if his music makes that statement seem controversial.

by Hobartdeckow 2 days ago

I actually don't think he's an asshole. He went through a lot and I can totally see where the anger comes from. I just think he may have spread "assholism".

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Can you explain? Sorry that sounds rude, I just don't understand?

by Hobartdeckow 2 days ago

I try. Have a good day 🌻

by Anonymous 2 days ago

No, you just lack personal accountability, and you are influenced too easily. 🎵And they blame it on Marilyn and the heroin. Where were the parents at? And now look where its at🎵

It's not musicians jobs to improve the world.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Whose job is it?

by Virtual-Security8814 2 days ago

Apparently nobody

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Look dude, rappers of his time were already ready to make fun of "white rappers" and claim they didn't have game. You think that he should spread roses and bunnies, when the rappers he's going up against are rapping about gangs and street crime? That's a pretty lunatic take.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

You're country is a joke. Everyone's laughing.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Dunno but definitely not some musician.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

The peoples. It's everyone's job to make improvements

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I don't think you understand artistic expression.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

EH, his early things were incredibly angry because that was his life. He has owned a lot of it and called it immature. From most interviews in the last ten years pretty sure he would actually agree with you?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I don't agree. Eminem is one of the best family men in entertainment (truly). Obviously his art is controversial by design but on a personal level he's a stand up guy. And his art mostly satirical. This is like saying oh the South Park guys are such assholes because their show makes mean jokes

by Inevitable-Candy 2 days ago

I'm talking about his music.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I doubted assholes listen to Eminem

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Not even a remotely sensible position. Eminiem is his own person and doesn't make anyone else anything. I personally have always found him gross and distasteful since hearing Kim.

by Playful_Carob 2 days ago

You're right kind of an emo rapper now that you mention it. He was always moppy.

by Accurate-Egg-215 2 days ago

I'm a white dude form the hood who was a teenager when Eminem came out. It's like he was specifically weaponized to make me a fan lol. I just saying, he dominated the first half of the 2000s but after? Wriggles hand.
