+47 If Taco Bell gives you diarrhea you either don't eat any fiber or are weak, amirite?

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

Taco Bell tastes amazing and leaves my stomach without issues. I love it.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I've never had problems with Taco Bell, or with real Mexican food. πŸ˜‚ But I've had terrible luck with getting food poisoning from late-night trips to IHOP. Different locations, too. Three separate occasions. And I've only been to IHOP 4-5 times in my life. Obviously I don't go any more. πŸ˜…

yeah I agree

You're not wrong. My stomach's been acting weird in the last few months and it turned out I had gallstones

by StatisticianFun2989 2 days ago

What did they change??

Question seconded

by OrganizationGlass553 2 days ago

Can attest, it's way better. Used to hate whenever I tried it, finally gave up when I got severe food poisoning (which happened to be over Thanksgiving so that sucked). About 15 years later a friend of mine got me taco bell, and it was scrumptious! I crave it every once and a while now, and haven't been sick at all.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Well put. It's basically a "trend" to say that it makes people have bowel issues. There isn't a whole lot of truth to it.

by prohaskanoemi 2 days ago

Ha, joke's on you and literally everyone else who has a problem with taco bell: I'm lactose intolerant and with one little lactase pill I've never once had a stomach issue from eating taco bell--and I have a very sensitive stomach even aside from the lactose intolerance. I've never understood why TBell runs right through so many people.

by Fine_Geologist_8562 2 days ago

Taco Bell is diarrhea.

by Exciting-Skirt2179 2 days ago

Yeah I've never had an issue with Taco Bell

by Anonymous 2 days ago

totally agree

by tate82 2 days ago

Taco Bell is the healthiest fast food

by Jerry95 2 days ago

I think in n out is but with customizations Taco Bell is a close second

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

To be fair I am a master baiter

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

I don't think that's the case. It really is giving them diarrhea, but that's because they don't eat a healthy diet with enough fiber and suddenly doing so is a sudden shock to the gut microbiome

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Msg slander will not be tolerated. Quite literally make stuff good seasoning

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

I never understood why people say this about Mexican food in general.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Most Americans don't consume anywhere near enough fiber. This is of course a serious public health problem as it is required for a healthy gut microbiome. But nevertheless, when someone who only eats junk food and doesnt eat enough fiber on a regular basis eats a Mexican meal (which is probably the only thing high in fiber they ever eat) it is a sudden shock to the digestive microbiome. Much like how suddenly taking an antibiotic causes diarrhea. People who eat a lot of fiber regularly don't have this issue as their gut microbiome has adapted to fiber.

Then it's funny how "eat your vegetables" is such a popular American saying

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Beans, beans, the magical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot!

by Howemuhammad 2 days ago

Not really unpopular. It's mostly a joke It's like how people memed on Nickelback and yet they were one of the most successful bands in their prime. Loud sentiment and reality often clash

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I've heard of several people irl who parrot the claim. Anecdotal evidence at best

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

Taco Bell has like no fiber lol just probably old meat and some white pita

by queenkris 2 days ago

Pita? Bro have you even ever been to Taco Bell.

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

Ya it's just some white flour tortillas. That's why crusty old meat and white tortilla lol of course it'll mess up your gut It's not like chipotle that does lots of beans. And fibers. Avacados. Good stuff.

by queenkris 2 days ago

Pita and flour tortillas are miles apart. If your Taco Bell meat is crusty that's a location issue.

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

This was written by someone who has never seen a morsel of taco bell

Well I've been luckier the most. And I do have a certain level of IBS issues as well as some issues after having had chemo and radiation from cancer a little over a year ago. So sometimes my stomach is screwed up regardless. I mean if I'm dumb enough to eat something super spicy then I'm going to have a problem regardless of where it's from. But in general, I can eat a burrito and a couple of tacos from Taco Bell and I don't have problems like some people do. Now if I get some deluxe nachos that basically look like what's going to come out when they're going in, then yeah. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Taco Bell isn't event remotely similar to legit taquerias. Entirely different craving. Sometime white people taco night is what you need.

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

It's not Taco Bell that is the problem, it's the excessive consumption of Taco Bell. Beans…

by Anonymous 2 days ago

If your stomach can't handle Taco Bell, it might say more about your usual diet than the food itself then again everyone's gut is wired differently so maybe let's not make diarrhea a test of strength

by Ok-Guidance 2 days ago

It's never made me sick but it's the least appetizing fast food for real lol

by Slow-Passion7879 2 days ago

Even more than Carl's Jr? I can't see anything unappetizing from Taco Bell.

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

What part of Taco Bell is unappetizing to you bc imo almost everything there is great

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

When did I say that? I like Taco Bell.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

You said it's the least appetizing fast food. I wanted to know why

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

I never said that either. I am talking about Carl's Jr.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I think they're just making it up. I refuse to believe that all these people get diarrhea from Taco Bell or Chipotle etc. and still eat it cause "mmm its good though." If I could 100% correlate eating somewhere to having diarrhea I wouldn't want to eat there ever again.

by Beautiful_Young4979 2 days ago

This is a meme I saw 4 years ago without the picture.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Same I've never had issues or loose bowels from it. Strange dreams, definitely

by Anonymous 2 days ago

It's people who only eat frozen meals I swear.

by SpecialistScallion69 2 days ago

Idk, I can eat real Mexican all day and be fine. Taco bell is human draino for me though. I've tried different locations and it always ends with what feels like borderline food poisoning.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

It's the cheese. People are lactose intolerant.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Then why doesn't Dairy Queen have the same reputation? Or pizza hut? Heck, McDonald's uses as much cheese as Taco Bell.

by Beautiful_Young4979 2 days ago

he did say that lactose intolerant people get a pass

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Ironic, since clearly you didn't read and understand that paragraph

by Anonymous 2 days ago

But not the many other digestive disorders that can cause this..? That's exactly what being "weak" is in this case... It's not like someone has control over Crohns disease, IBS, allergies, etc
