Is this even an opinion? This is just a fact that everyone knows.

I think it's important to distinguish between hard working and exploited. Hard working (or having a strong work ethic) assumes one has a certain level of freedom and autonomy. Being exploited, however, means one is compelled, by various factors, to work. This is not to say that people who are exploited don't have a good work ethic; it is just to say that attributing their labor to a work ethic ignores the inhumane conditions they're in.
