Obviously if someone does something horrific to you or your family you can hate that person for what they've done to you. Someone who is trying to take away my rights, hates me and the people I love for something out of our control, and don't see me as human is horrific and evil. I'm sorry you get skittish about righteous anger but I will not treat someone who thinks I'm the scum of the earth with love. Stating your beliefs, especially when they express wanting to harm someone else, has consequences. The consequence that the people you want to harm may hate you (this is justified hatred).

You should always treat hate with neutrale behavior. If the hater becomes also neutral, you should treat him with love. If the hater stays hatefull, you should go. If you can't go, you should teat hate with power and stong boundaries, not with love.
