Oh god, the awkwardness of someone holding the door when you're too far away. Sometimes I am accidentally the perpetrator of this, and I always try to bring some humor into it to let them know that I know what I've done and they are welcome to take their time. Because at that point, what else are you gonna do? Abandon course so that the door shuts right when they do need it? Ugh, the trials and tribulations of being human!

I hate feeling i have to jog up because someone is holding the door when I'm not close enough. I honestly think most of the time it's unnecessary and annoying

Men should always open the door for a lady...always. I can't remember a time when a man in front of me didn't hold the door. When with any man...I step aside when we get to the door so he can open it...its proper etiquette
