Agreed. It's also one of, if not THE healthiest condiment to use. You can basically use as much as you want of it and not have to worry about gaining weight or taking in too much sodium.

I agree. Mustard has a wide range of flavors, from sweet to spicy. But, we started buying the No Sugar Ketchup (French's brand is the best) and I like it much more than regular ketchup. It has more umami-ness to it. I still don't put it on sandwiches or burgers. Just use it for fries

I disagree, the sweetness goes great with meat and isn't overpowering in sweetness, the predominant flavor is Umami dense tomato. Mustard is trash tier, it's too dominant of a flavor. Anything you put it on will just taste like mustard and nothing else.

Oh and ranch? Burn it. Any white sauce that isn't cheese should just be used as a base for other sauces and nothing else imo. They are either bland or taste spoiled. Butter is here to moisten foods. That and it actually tastes good. And if you want tang just use vinegar

I dont see how this is unpopular. I find ketchup gross to be honest, havent used it in years. Mustard/onions/pickle is all i need on a burger and just mustard on a hot dog/brat/mett. I dont eat deli meats often, but when I do its salami and yellow or spicy brown mustard is a must have. Mustard on a soft pretzel is the only way to go

I used to hate mustard. I liked ketchup. I was a ketchup man. Suddenly this changed. I really had to recognize that mustard was one of the few redeeming factors about humanity. Mayonnaise>curry>mustard>garlic sauce>ketchup It depends on the food, with meatballs some mustard is really nice, with fries satay sauce with mayonnaise, with potatoes some American sauce, burgers curry and mayonaise, ketchup goes on a grilled cheese. Curry and mayonaise on a hotdog, curry and mayo on a frikandel. Garlic on kebab or with some crumbly potatoes. Also it depends on the brand, they differ a lot. I love mustard just not on everything.

Just ketchup on a hot dog, I couldn't agree more. The sweetness is overbearing like you said, but ketchup and mustard together is where it's at imo. I actually put deli mustard, yellow mustard and ketchup on my hot dogs and the taste is 10/10 to me.
