+78 Seven Nation Army is the worst song Jack White ever wrote - by far. amirite?

I get a kick out of "by far." Like I get it you like his other stuff better, but by far its the worst song? I mean common. Being one of the most recognizable songs of the last 50 years has to show for something.

You get that's your personal taste right?

I don't know if you understand how ridiculously simply SNA is. There's a reason it's the sport chant for drunk people to shout off-key.

I dont know if you understand the words I where I said that is literally what makes it so great

we also know all the lyrics to the the SpongeBob theme song but we aren't playing that at the function. Same with this, play this at any house party and the vibe will crash. It's just cringe and I don't wanna overcomplicate this argument tbh.

Do you genuinely think if everyone listened to full library they would think SNA is the worst song?

I can only speak for myself, that's why it's an unpopular opinion, but that was the first song I ever heard by the White Stripes and I immediately hated it. It took me several years to check out any of their other music and I was so shocked at how good they were because that one song had convinced me they were awful.

I'm sorry you don't like that song.

by anneritchie 1 day ago

Of course they don't. Just one of many examples of people mistaking "unpopular opinion" for "say something stupid and wrong".

Has anyone here seen "it might get loud?" There's a really funny scene where white is teaching this to jimmy page and the edge, because it's the most simple guitar line in the world, and due to nerves or whatever it takes a few tries. That film was a dud outside of the scenes of white by himself. Anyway, it's a great song, just one of the most overplayed of all time. Which is kind of cool for the white stripes

You mean the one song everybody knows him for

And that's a good thing?
