+59 Getting up at 3am to exercise and eat protein is not impressive if that means going to bed at 7am, amirite?

by Puzzleheaded-Rip 14 hours ago

No one does that anyways aside from scamming fitness/lifestyle influencers on steroids that lie online to make money.

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

you can't get beefy on PEDs without training.

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

No one said that they don't train

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

calling them scammers would imply they don't work

by Anonymous 13 hours ago

I said that the are scamming because they exaggerate and lie about what they actually do, which doesn't imply that they don't do something.

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

It doesn't mean they get up at 3am though, it means they SAY they do to sell a course.

by Puzzleheaded-Rip 12 hours ago

if they have a video where you can see a timestamp of them getting up at 3am than they are getting up at 3am

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

generally athletes nap after a workout, as you see the most gains when you are literally asleep. dr mike for example(not the medical doctor but the fitness guru) has made videos discussing how you can increase your gains by getting up doing an hour or 2 of exorcise than going back to bed. you assuming they don't get up at 3am is also just an assumption.

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

So they are lying

by Anonymous 12 hours ago

no they are not if fitness guru X says, this is how my day starts, I get up have breakfast go on a 2 mile walk, tha i do xx y and than i eat lunch, do this lift, that lift, take a nap, get up do push ups, run a mile than i eat dinner, go to sleep. and they legit do all of that but fail to say they also do 20 mgs of tren that isn't lying that is omiting a couple factors

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Why do you do that much mental gymnastics to defend internet weirdos?

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Dude probably runs a course or has bought several and is trying to justify his purchase.

by feestconner 11 hours ago

there is no mental gymnastics, you claiming that a person ommiting 1 detail from a regim is lying doesn't make it so if dwayne johnson makes a video highlighting his fitness program showing the order at which he does specific exorcises to get a well rounded workout, and not telling us he obviously takes Testosterone, is not lying. hemsworth making a video showing us all the work he put into getting ripped like thor yet not admitting to taking PEDs is also not lying. lying is telling something is false not omiting information

by Anonymous 11 hours ago

Lying by omission is when someone withholds information, knowing that the omission will create a false impression or deceive the other person. Seems like a lie to me.

by feestconner 10 hours ago

that is an incorrect definition of a lie a lie is always defined as a false statement made with the intention to deceive, someone like dwayn johnson isn't going to tell us he does PEDs because if he does he will not get work, that isn't lying that is just ommiting unimportant details which again is not lying

by Anonymous 10 hours ago

This would be a popular opinion as most people have never heard what you are referencing and would agree to it's stupidity.

by Anonymous 10 hours ago

It became a "thing" when people started buying into the "better yourself" channels etc and it became profitable. I only wake up early (5am) because the gym is less packed and after work i dont have the motivation to work out lol plus it is nice to have a couple of hours to enjoy my breakfast and coffee before i have to fight traffic and sit in an office all day.

by maiahamill 9 hours ago

5am isn't that crazy though. I saw someone the other day saying they wake up at 1am to workout!

by Puzzleheaded-Rip 9 hours ago

I feel like at that point, you just arent sleeping lol

by maiahamill 9 hours ago

Going to bed at 7am?

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

If I am getting up and working out at bloody 3 in the morning, damn right i am gonna sleep again at 7am

by Background_Pop 9 hours ago

if you go to bed at 7pm and get up at 3am you should have gotten enough sleep

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

I mean, imo anyone who gets up and prioritizes their health is impressive in my book. I don't know why anyone would care or even have an opinion about someone else's wake up time unless it directly affects them.

by Anonymous 8 hours ago

My point is I don't think it does prioritise health in the long run. It prioritises a weird fad that in most people will lead to burnout.

by Puzzleheaded-Rip 8 hours ago

7pm - 3am is obviously extreme, but as a "morning person", I'm definitly more productive and better rested on a 9.30pm - 5.30am schedule than a midnight - 8am one.

by karinahilpert 8 hours ago

But sleeping from 7pm-3am is still 8 hours, plus that is far more than what a lot of people manage to get. 7-8hours of sleep is the ideal recommendation amount for optimal health. And I'm sure people who do manage to get up at 3am feeling well rested, are not doing it to seek your approval. They are simply living a lifestyle that works for them .

by Cristjackeline 7 hours ago

no one in the fittness industry eat raw eggs NO ONE if they say they do they are just bsing to make fun of he trope

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

I mean, you do you. I'm more talking about the people who sell it on social media as some kind of life hack, like getting up super early is something to boast about.

by Puzzleheaded-Rip 7 hours ago

Its the "im better than you because i do ____" attitude more so than the time

by Oralgrimes 7 hours ago

Oh 100%! I can tell you getting up that time does not automatically make you successful.

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

I think the reason why it's "impressive" is that its a sacrifice of the time people often use for socialization and debauchery for time in the early morning that's seen as more productive, or whatever. These guys are giving up going out for drinks with buddies, or even the opportunity to go out for drinks with buddies, in order to pursue their ideals.
