+31 Chocolate tastes much better from the fridge. amirite?

Point #2 is funny because why would you want the physical effects of sugar without enjoying the sweet taste?

by Hot_Location 5 hours ago

Yea wtf lol? This isn't caffeine. I don't eat sugar for the effects, they're almost all negative. The sugar buzz is also largely a myth.

The sugar buzz is also largely a myth. Not really, its only much less noticeable for people who consume a lot of sugar regularly. There is also of course genetic differences in people.

Yeah, if he wants it to taste less like chocolate, I think he doesn't even like chocolate that much.

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

I feel the cold balances the flavour nicely when it comes to chocolate specifically.

by Janickharber 4 hours ago

Good point. I personally don't like palm oil, I hate Nutella, but I love dark chocolate.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

Chocolate being sweet is literally part of it's charm and identity.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

Actually your taste buds are more sensitive to room temperature foods.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

That doesn't mean it doesn't taste better cold.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

They used to say that the worst beer is Always advertis as the coldest.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

I'd love to hear how that relates to what I said. I prefer high quality dark chocolate to be refrigerated. It's more enjoyable for me to eat.

the freezer chocolate people are the ones we need to keep a close eye on

That doesn't sound right but I don't know enough about chocolate to dispute it.

One of the best things about chocolate is how it melts in your mouth. That doesn't happen the same when it has been in the fridge, and it ruins the experience.

To me one of the best things is the snap of a crispy thin piece of chocolate, like a mignonette or sth. It definitely still melts in your mouth.

by goyettepattie 2 hours ago

Sure it does. It just takes a minute extra. I always put my chocolate in the fridge, and I'm a melter.

by Resident_Shine_3015 2 hours ago

...you hold the hard chocolate in your mouth until it melts?

by AccountantIcy 2 hours ago

I break off a piece, let it be on my tongue until it melts - yeah. Milk chocolate that is. Melts faster than any other kind. Doesnt take more than a few minutes, and its lovely!

by Resident_Shine_3015 1 hour ago

I prefer a cold snap. Don't like melty chocolate. One of the reasons I'm not a fan of gianduia. It's SO SWEET and way too soft.

I put my Reese's white chocolate cups in the freezer ☺️

by Anonymous 1 hour ago

Reese's are SUPERIOR cold, i almost can't eat them room temp

by Anonymous 1 hour ago

Mars bars, i think they're known as Milky Way in the USA, are way better out of the fridge with that firm nougat and caramel. In fact a lot of chocolate bars are better out of the fridge now i think about it, yes, you are right OP.

by Hour_Egg 36 minutes ago

It is confusing but in the States their Milky Way is just the same as our Mars Bar. Our Milky Way is called the 3 Musketeers in the States.

by Hour_Egg 18 minutes ago

Mars bars are not called milky way. They are similar candy but arent the same. They are two seperste things

by aiden24 15 minutes ago

You're describing candy bars, not chocolate.
