What's the point of having a blanket so soft that you can't feel it?

I can feel it. I'd rather have the softest blanket in the world than a rough one that might scratch me.

Crazy idea, don't buy a soft blanket then?

Give it a few months it'll be the same texture as a regular blanket

I agree with this so hard. I hate a fuzzy blanket, they make me sweaty AND cold somehow. Instantly suffocating and not cozy whatsoever. I'd much rather have a fluffy quilt or knit blanket

Stick your arm into a bag of diatomaceous earth and report back.

Illogical comparison. What you can suggest is for me to shove my hand into a sheep that has been lost in the wilderness for 10 years. Wool is used for fabrics and sometimes blankets. Diatomaceous earth is not. Wool is the roughest of all the fabrics that I can think of. And yes, I will literally snuggle a wool ball.
