Unpopular indeed your opinion sucks the USA claims to be the wealthiest nation and the best and the most freedom unless you don't have a car or can afford to travel on planes. A high speed rail would eliminate a lot of pollution in theory and the government could run it this creating revenue

This has to be a joke right? Your complaints about cars is that it takes forever and is 5 hours of driving which a high speed train would be better at... and scenery is bad for planes which a high speed train would be better at... Do you think you can't see scenery on a high speed train? I'm willing to bet you haven't ridden one.

Outside the Acela corridor rail options are nonexistent. Most longhaul Amtrak routes go only once a day with huge delays and wait times. Your argument cherry picks the absolute best case and ignores everyone else.
