I agree. People lack perspective. Everyone has something that is "the worst thing to ever happen to them," and to them, it feels awful, but comparatively, it might not be bad at all. I think we're in that "good times create weak men" phase of that famous quote.

Actually as somebody with real life trauma, I don't care. This isn't the "woe is me" Olympics.

Same - everyone deals with things differently. What do I care? I just hope people find a way to heal whatever is hurting them

Don't offer sympathy, offer empathy. Most people deserve empathy, not everyone is operating with the same size bucket. Why be angry? Be empathetic. Don't let everyone drag you down, but if you approach more situations with love and empathy life will be richer by wide margins. Wishing everyone to be hard and resilient isn't realistic and will not produce any joy for you. Kindness will expand your experiences ten fold.

It's all relative. It might not seem much to you but to them could be suffering. It's like saying inversely that because someone is much more fortunate than you, that their happiness dwarfs yours and your happiness is not worth the time of day

Do you think there's anybody out there who is needlessly suffering? Like, they're focusing on the wrong things and don't realize how good they have it?

Humans imagine stuff. Human brains feel it like if it was real. Anxiety kicks in. People get caught in the loop.
