The thicker the pizza crust the better, amirite?

The statement that a 1000-calorie pizza is not satiating is wild.

If the crust is burnt, it's burnt. Thyat's not italian pizza, that's just burnt pizza. If it's sloppy that's made badly. If you're compairing it to pizza hut of all places then I think I see your problem. And lastly, if a thin pizza isn't filling you then you have a problem (I have a similar problem. The issue isn't the pizza, it's us.

I feel like I've been to a handful of "fancy" Italian spots and all their pizzas have burnt-ish spots on the crust. Idk if it's an aesthetic thing but it's very overpowering 😠But yeah maybe the problem is me. I try to eat healthy and only have pizza on my cheat days so when I DO have a cheat day I kinda binge eat it until I'm in a food coma after. So I always associate pizza with overeating until I'm physically sick from all grease (okay yeah now that I'm typing it out I can see I'm defs the problem LOL)

Actually a true Neapolitan pie should be floppy to the point that the center of the crust is "wet". Most of the authentic pizzerias I visited in Italy require a knife and fork to eat it. Crispy Neapolitan pies are a more American convention. In Italy you see some but more at Pizza al taglio (by the slice) places.
