The idea that a grown adult needs to constantly touch others to manage anxiety is absurd and selfish, amirite?

Saying he touches everybody isn't really a defence or rebuttal of the OPs point though.

We are all selfish, but being egoistic would be for him to demand others fulfill his selfish wishes, something he doesn't. All the people who he does it with are okay with it and happy to help, and that's all that matters.

Cultures are different and therefore people too. In south American countries people are more touchy than normal. There isn't anything intrinsically bad with being or not touchy, like, nothing. So why should you care. The actors are free to say they are uncomfortable if they were, and from videos it looks quite like the contrary. It helps him, and others are glad to help. There isn't more than that. You thinking it's ridiculous is just your own conceived feelings around it

That's not even true though. I believe the statement was that touch can sometimes soothe his anxiety. That however, doesn't mean that each and every time he is hugging or holding someone it's because he is suffering an anxiety attack.

That's weird, I have seen just as many videos of him being touchy with male costars. It's interesting that for this weird hate train to have actually spread around there seems to have been a reliance on the fact that people would run with it without being sure of what they are saying. It's pretty sad that so many people will just repeat things they hear without being sure themselves, especially when it's something that pretty much implies that a person is some kind of predatory weirdo.
