There is nothing wrong with staying abstinent from drugs and alcohol, amirite?

No one truly cares if you don't drink or do any drugs. the annoying aspect is if you believe you're better because you chose to abstain.

Are the people saying this drug dealers? While many people do use drugs and alcohol, I don't know a single one claiming it to be healthier than abstaining. The only context that makes sense to me is if they're referring to medically prescribed drugs. Are you being peer pressured or something? How old are you?

It's just the people you hang around. Drop them if your uncomfortable because nobody else is saying this. The majority of people wouldn't go within 30 feet of drugs. Alcohol is different because it's more socially acceptable but that obviously doesn't make it less harmful.

Good for you. It is easier to abstain than quit. And any drug/alcohol is like seasoning and food. Changes the taste and maybe enhances but not necessarily needed or good for you. Just an extra and not free of cost.

For drugs it might be true but for drinking people in my experience do not accept a no. Maybe a regional thing, maybe I came across too many assholes, idk, but "I don't like it" was rarely ever accepted if there was alcohol around. It's real annoying. On one wedding I was literally refused to be given a non-alcoholic drink at one point (not just me, anyone). And then supposed go at least take a sip. It was the kind I find utterly disgusting.

Same with what Joubachi said as well, there is absolutely social pressure to drink, especially when underage. Also when it comes to this platform specifically, a large portion of it is extremely pro drugs and will attack you if you even insinuate remotely that you think they are bad
