Maybe. It seems entirely possible that all eras have had their share of slop and we don't know much about it because it was slop that no one cared about. I think if people in 2100 look back 75 years, they'll see more greater cultural creations than they would in 1950 and things like Marvel movies will be ignored. Great creatives and innovative thinkers still exist right now. There's just a lot of garbage that will be filtered through time and memories

Referring to the first paragraph specifically… I recently saw a band called All Them Witches play some songs live off their upcoming album. I'm not a music historian or anything, but it felt really unique to me.
