+61 There hasn't been a "significant increase" of antisemitism in Europe and United States, it is just a propaganda effort by Israeli "public diplomacy" to relativise genocide they are commiting. amirite?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I'm not even supporting Israel in the Palestine-Israel conflict. But what are you on about? Of course antisemitism is going to get worse if Israel commits genocide. Even only if people think they are committing genocide. It's just completely logical. Ultra-black-and-white thinking about the world doesn't make sense for the vast majority of things. Why on earth would one side be the devil and the other side perfectly innocent. Not being able to understand nuance is a serious problem.

i understand that gaza struck first, and refused to cooperate and release all the hostages. cooperate and nothing bad will happen.

by Fostercremin 2 days ago

what makes israel a special case? virtually every nation started out like that.

by Fostercremin 1 day ago

Yes, no doubt, I am saying that there is no huge increase in antisemitism TODAY. As of today, none of criticisms of Israel include literally any mention of Jews as an ethnic group, it is always "Bibi", "Israel", "Zionists"

by Anonymous 1 day ago

It's a good thing that you're not seeing that increase in antisemitism because it means your close environment isn't antisemitic. Unfortunately, that's just not true on a broader scale. Israel has strained relationships with its neighbouring Arab countries for various reasons including the fact that there is historically rampant antisemitism there. It's clearly getting worse now that there are more legitimate reasons to condemn Israel. In Europe, there have been various attacks towards Jews because of the Palestine situation. Etc.

by DangerousIsopod2154 1 day ago

So, you're saying it's deserved antisemitism?

by DangerousIsopod2154 1 day ago

Many of these people being anti-Semitic in Britain and other western nations aren't suffering in the Middle East, they're just being antisemitic By your logic, it's perfectly fine for everything in western countries to be islamophobic after countless terror attacks and wars in the Middle East You're very quick to dismiss the crimes of Islamic nations, but very quick to pounce on the crimes of Israel and use that to justify antisemitism

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Weren't you trying to tell us that there was no "significant increment" in antisemitism? lol

by Henderson28 1 day ago

When did Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon move to Europe and United States? We are talking about "classic antisemitism", not Palestinians hating people who have been committing genocide on them for 80 years

by New-Pressure-9335 1 day ago

A lot of reported incidents might simply be part of zionist campaigns to deflect criticism or defenders of Israel being honestly unable to make a distinction between attacks against Israel and attacks against jews. Lots of people with actual anti-semitic views have less reason to keep quiet in a situation where many actual jews do horrible stuff. They don't hate jews more now but they have better opportunities to attack them now. A bit like how the 9/11 attacks in 2001 made it easier for people who already hated muslims.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Riiight, everything is a Zionist conspiracy. Ignore the stats and what you see with your own eyes, the zionists are controlling it all So antisemites feel enabled enough to come out of the woodwork, but actually there is no increase in antisemitic incidents and that's a Zionist conspiracy?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

"Pretty much all of them are written …by Israelis." That's an interesting unit of measurement.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I mean, you could also just look at the stats?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I've seen people being called Antisemitic for asking The people to feed the starving children. The word has lost it's meaning and is used against any person who is anti Israel. I'd like to know your opinion on Palestinian Issue. It'd tell a lot about you.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I really don't care for other people to tell something about me 🤷‍♂️ make of that what you wish

by Henderson28 1 day ago

They surely haven't done anything right to prevent that, but it wasn't just them.

by Henderson28 1 day ago

Imho, they have huge amount of clout, especially in the United States through AIPAC and media. The only thing they have to do is not commit a genocide, it is such a low bar

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I'd argue you are not much familiar with the dynamics that are going on over there, so shouting genocide is at least disingenuous, but that's me.

Over 50,000 Palestinians, many of them women and children, have reportedly been killed in Gaza since October 2023, according to UN agencies. Entire neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and refugee camps have been flattened, prompting concerns about the scale and intensity of the attacks. The use of heavy aerial bombardment and siege tactics in densely populated urban areas demonstrates reckless disregard or deliberate harm to civilians. Israel has been deliberately restricting food, water, fuel, and medical aid to Gaza. UN officials have warned that famine is imminent or already occurring in some areas. They are even confiscating baby formula that foreign doctors have tried to bring in. Statements from Israeli officials describing the siege as a tool of war (e.g., "no electricity, no food, no fuel") have been cited as evidence of intent to inflict conditions of life calculated to destroy the group. Some Israeli leaders and public figures have made statements that, according to genocide scholars and legal experts, could be interpreted as incitement to genocide. There have been statements about "erasing Gaza" or treating all Gazans as legitimate targets. They use dehumanizing language, such as referring to Palestinians as "human animals." The International Court of Justice (ICJ) found in January 2024 that some statements by Israeli officials could plausibly be considered incitement, and ordered Israel to take steps to prevent genocidal acts. At best Israel is aiming to ethnic cleanse Gaza but I'm inclined to think it's looking a lot closer to genocide.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

You are just antisemitic. God promised 3000 years ago to the Jews that they can murder anyone from Lebanon to Jordan to attain their state.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Now you're just being silly.

by Henderson28 1 day ago

I mean, I would continue arguing that If thing that Israelis are the only responsible to the famine and the problems in the Gaza Strip. The heavy aerial bombardment can't be justified I know that. its just that is pretty clear that there Is a war and one side is clearly sacrificing the Palestinian people to convince the international community that they are committing a genocide and Israel is not doing anything to make it look better. To me that is a complex situation and to be a fan of one side over the other is not helping anyone.

by Henderson28 1 day ago

I'm not a fan of Hamas but I have deep sympathies for the Palestinians people. Even before the war Gaza was essentially an open air prison. Palestinians within Israel are second class citizens with no rights. Israel keeps squeezing and squeezing. Israeli officials are already starting to call for annexing not only Gaza but the West Bank as well.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I am not saying they are lying, I am just saying that 90% of complaints they make on online forums (I dont know many Jews irl as I do not live in the West) boil down to "a guy told me Israel is commiting a genocide, this is gross antisemitism".

by Anonymous 1 day ago

It's the old and always valid rule of the extremes, people accuse Israel with extreme accusations and then people online are defending themselves, and with that comes the anitsemitism, in my country a Jewish family has been attacked just by being Jewish, those things are connected, as much as you wish they weren't.

by Henderson28 1 day ago

Sort of agree but I think that is the case with most sorts of racism. I don't think people have gotten more racist BUT some people have had their pre existing views on jews and others more activated by current political situations.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Whats your opinion on the documented side in hate speech on Twitter?

by Anonymous 1 day ago

The issue is that there is a rise of violence against Jewish people who are not Israeli at all. If you don't have Jewish friends or neighbors then how can you be a judge on what they are going through? Jews are being attacked because they are wearing stars of David (a Jewish symbol), outward appearance (sidecurls, black hat). And it definitely is getting worse.

by Acceptable_Stop 1 day ago

any example? Only one I found is some girl being insulted for wearing a "proud zionist" shirt. That is not antisemitism. You would be attacked for wearing a swastika too

by Anonymous 1 day ago

That's not an opinion, that's just a lie

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Have you been on Instagram? Antisemitism is rampant there now.

by Davisliliana 1 day ago

Absolutely, but those people were antisemitic before Israel started committing a genocide too. They are also absolute minority among critics of Israel. I mean, Israel is insanely popular among far-right.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Indeed. The definition of anti-semitism has changed. If you wear a keffiyeh, support Palestine, call it a genocide... it is now considered anti-semitic.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Yikes bro lolz 😭 😭 I hope they don't come after you too hard from this...might get you arrested..
