+81 Flying an A320 on Spirit is better than an American short-haul flight, amirite?

Spirit vs any other airline? It's a legit unpopular opinion.

No, it's a very unpopular opinion. Belongs here.

In my opinion the quality of a flight depends on so many variables that the airline you select generally doesn't control for like delays, the passengers you sit next to, cleanliness, etc. Given the right circumstances, a Spirit flight can be way comfier than an American flight and vice versa. So you do have a point in a sense that you're almost always better off just going for the cheapest price given your time and destination.

Sounds like you had a crappy experience with American, which unfortunately isn't unusual with American, although they've been improving in on-time performance and customer satisfaction. A counterpoint: if you fly regularly enough, American can be much more worthwhile. Earning status with Alaska or American makes international travel much more pleasant, and you're earning miles and elite status with every flight. The miles are super valuable (though obviously saving cash is always more valuable) and the status often gets you Alaska/American upgrades. Their domestic first experiences are much nicer than anything Spirit offers. If your goal is to go from point A to point B, Spirit is perfectly reasonable. I don't like being nickel and dimed and the legacy carriers still aren't as bad about it as Spirit

The problem with Spirit is mostly the other passengers

Assuming you are comparing a spirit plane against a AA 320/319, if the aisle is larger, that means the seats are narrower.

I would much rather fly spirit than AA. They get a bad perception because of the low cost stuff but I've had much better flights on spirit than AA

That big front seat is awesome. Haven't flown spirit in many years but it used to only be $50 one way. Well worth it when first class or even just picking an emergency row seat is just as expensive if not way more.

I have never flown spirit but I do prefer the Airbus planes. Takeoff always seems so smooth compared to Boeing planes.

This entire website is an American website with a plurality of American users. Foreigners are GUESTS on an American site (that is slightly owned by China too lmao).

Guests lmao I'll take what this guy is smoking.
