Money is the easiest part of the price. Time, loyalty, and discipline are what truly cost and that's why few ever make it.

This is not true. I am sure many people have someone fall in love with them at some point.

Falling in love ≠ being chosen. "Chosen" isn't a feeling; it's a decision backed by consistent action, prioritization, respected boundaries, and real investment over time. Many people have admirers; far fewer are selected and kept being selected, when it actually costs something.

No it is, when you re in love with someone you choose them. Most people just don't end up building a relationship.

I don't think this person is talking about love. I think it's a status thing. Some kind of elitist power trip?

All of that sounds like someone loving them.

Most people don't need it to be happy either. Or more precisely - there are different levels of being chosen and the basic which is being chosen by few people really is good enough for most.

This is so incredibly vague I can't tell if it's popular or not. I will say though that most people will experience having a partner, and that is being chosen. My girlfriend chose me.
