I have always enjoyed Linux (I use a part-time only) however I cannot stand KDE at all as well. I have never gotten it to work on any of my computers, and when I have, I have had constant issues. I have completely given up on KDE/ plasma as I cannot get it to work properly. Most people absolutely pray KDE however it needs a lot of work and most people don't have the time to stuff around with something that will never work.
