+38 If you are at a convenience store/ petrol/ gas station, don't park at the bowser if you don't intend on getting fuel. Use the parking lot. amirite?

I have never in my life heard someone call the pump, a bowser.

Me either

In the military a 'bowser' was a trailer for fuel or other liquid-product tank, that you could bring to where you needed it. Not sure anyone has called a gas station pump a bowser in the history of ever.

Yeah. The only time I've ever heard the term bowser be used was when there was a water shortage in my town so the council put loads of large water tanks around the streets which were called "bowsers"

It's always a tossup to me. Not that I would even think of parking at a pump (BOWSER?!) if I wasn't getting gas, but after getting gas, do I walk into the store, or move my car first? Usually I move my car, simply because then it's a shorter walk.

Do you mean people actually pull into the pump and get food and no gas and leave or do you mean people that stay parked at the pump before or after getting fuel? I've never stayed at a gas station long enough to notice others fueling habits personally.

So long...

People need to be told this?

Don't think it's unpopular? Idk why tf ppl would do that

Some of the gas stations near me don't even have normal parking. They have a couple of handicap spaces and the pumps. That's it. I have no choice if I go to those gas stations for anything.

There are several gas stations near me with only 2 parking spaces that are filled with employees cars

At my job, people pull up to the pump and sleep. Customers ask me to move them, but it's an open carry state, so I'm not doing it.
