What problems do dogs cause ? They are required to stay in the carrier under a seat. Just sounds you don't like pets.

You are not answering the question. Most dogs are quiet on the plane (way more quiet than humans), they stay in the carrier, and unless you are looking hard it's like they are not even there. In the rare case of severe allergies (anaphylactic reactions are rare with dogs, still rare with cats), airlines make sure no dog or cats is allowed on the plane. Just say you don't like animals

So? If I'm just trying to enjoy my flight, I'm not worried about the calm French bulldog in someone's lap that's isles over. A screaming baby that won't shut up the entire flight? Yeah that's more of a nuisance. I'm not gonna say you can't bring your baby on the plane but I'm also not gonna say you can't bring your dog. If they aren't disrupting.. truly why does it matter?

Yeah no. I care about animals. I've heard so many horrible stories about putting your pets in with the luggage. Animals have gotten hurt, and worst cases have died. Plus it can just be traumatizing for them. It's not because I "can't go without my pets for a few hours", it's because I don't trust that my pet will not be hurt otherwise. Granted, I've never personally been on a flight with my pet. You also don't need to claim the pet is a service animal. You can bring a pet on the flight with you (within reason), you just have to pay extra. The people claiming that it's a service pet that they need are probably just doing it to get out of paying the fee
