I have never been to this restaurant.. what is on the floor??

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Their thing used to be that they gave you peanuts and you throw them on the floor. All the ones I've been to they give you a bucket, never actually seen shells on the floor

Ive never been to a Texas roadhouse where you were supposed to throw the peanuts on the floor

Right, like I said it used to be a thing

I've never been to one, what's going on with the rolls?

Well the rolls themselves are okay I guess, but they come with this cinnamon butter. And personally I can't stand it. It's just so sweet and bland at the same time. It makes me lose my appetite instead.

Oh yeah, I can see how that could be a bit much, like I don't want cinnamon sugar bread before I eat a meal Although if the bread was exceptionally tasty I could see that being a nice standalone snack

That cinnamon butter is half the reason I go there. Their fantastic ribs is the other half.

I've been saying this! The parking lot is always filled to the max …I don't get it. The food tastes like cafeteria food, and the last time I ate there I was violently ill after. Could've been unrelated but I think it was food poisoning!

It wouldn't surprise me. The place doesn't seem that sanitary to begin with!

I'm not much for chain restaurants or ordering steak while eating out, but I was impressed when I had Texas Roadhouse for the first time recently. Like all chains I'm sure it varies by location, but I was happy with how my meal came out. They have decent cuts of meat and actually cook it to the correct temperature, not much else you can ask for at that price point.

You can get a steak, two sides, plus unlimited rolls and peanuts for $14. Even if it's meh you have to admit it's pretty incredible value. Personally I've always enjoyed the steak, when I get the sirloin it's tender and flavorful, and they do pretty good on the cook, definitely the best you can get from a cheap sitdown place, which is why people go. Even if it's not incredible it's good at an even better price

Texas Roadhouse is the trough for American pigs. Americans want quantity over quality, just look what's parked in the lot. They can get a ridiculous size chicken fried steak, 2 hugely caloric sides and throw back half a dozen rolls for $14. That's why it's popular.

What did I say that wasn't true?
