Validation for what? Choosing not to waste your time/life mindlessly scrolling though social media? I don't think you need a bunch of randoms on the internet telling you how to live your life or what to enjoy.

At lunch I have a stack of books that I work my way through and I could easily lose hours because the text is coherent and puts forward consistent arguments and ideas. Hopefully one day you'll learn something from them then, because your own argument is inconsistent. You start saying Smartphones are boring, and go to question what people use them for, and seem focused only on Social Media. You know smartphones can do other stuff, right?

I don't exactly look into other people phones but I have enough of the interesting stuff to do on mine. Its essentially pc with different interface, dumbed down but you can still do tons of stuff on it besides scrolling... so if you are bored in 10 minutes it says more about your usage of that phone than the phone itself.

I mean that has nothing to do with the smartphone? That is all about what you put on there, some like to scroll social media, some don't, I don't do it that much, but I like to play a game on my phone, plus read, listen to music and books, and sometimes watch some videos. Saying smartphones are boring, is like saying a pc, or paper is boring, sure they are if you have nothing worth it on them, but if you put something good on them then they aren't boring.

When I get to work early which is everyday, I can easily not spend the 30 minutes scrolling the internet because I'm too busy reading through emails, responding, socializing with others in the office before I start my day. If you're bored then you might want to figure out why that is.

I've noticed this too. Typically people are looking for that dopamine hit that "words on a page" cannot deliver. Perhaps due to being raised and babysat by tablets in their childhood.
