Not really an opinion since you're just wrong

What do greeks have to do with it?

by Disastrous_Map 2 days ago

Ah, cool thanks for responding. Went to Greece recently but I didn't eat any beef there lmao

by Disastrous_Map 2 days ago

well they actually have good burgers but the steak... the steaks though... not even edible

greeks love their steak like to be a hockey puck.... yet they know how to cook literally everything else perfectly

Heat does nearly nothing against prions. Low effort rage bait is the worst. And if you argue solely from a health position, you best just simply don't eat meat. Especially not burnt meat, here are waiting cancerous dragons.

by Deep-Assignment-5181 1 day ago

Depends on the meat. Steak is safe to cook medium rare, searing kills all the bacteria. Ground beef isnt and needs well done.

by Kevon15 1 day ago

Raw is not rare and the differences in foodborne illness between the two when done correctly is negligible. Also, while causation hasn't been confirmed there's a correlation between eating well cooked beef and increased cancer risk.

you're right, all those who says it taste bad expect you to cook it without any spice i guess

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Definitely an unpopular opinion. A lot of people are almost religious about having meat rare. Personally, I agree. Well done is better.

by Used-Spirit 1 day ago

There is no blood in the steak when it's rare. The cow was drained a long time ago

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Are people not realizing that there's something in-between "bloody chunks" and way overcooked?

by Forward_Syrup 1 day ago

In my experience there isn't. Unless it's well done, there's still that disgusting taste...

by Anonymous 1 day ago

You must have been to some nasty ass amateur steakhouses then. I'm sorry

by Forward_Syrup 1 day ago

Even well done doesn't kill prions, might as well enjoy the flavour and go medium rare. Taenia is killed by cooking pork to 145f. Giardia in meat would be a surface contamination and killed by most regular cooking methods, even when cooking to rare; giardia is a bigger concern on raw veg than it is on meat.

Agreed. And that scene in Emily in Paris, Emily was made to look dumb for wanting her steak better cooked.
