+61 You could probably tell who works from home, in an apartment complex, via trash cans- by whom picks up their trash cans midday. amirite?

WFH, retired, laid off, on disability, works a non traditional schedule, is on vacation. So many variables. Just because someone takes in their trash mid day doesn't mean they work from home. I work in an office near my home 9-5:30 every day yet on garbage days i sometimes am able to bring the trash in before i start work or i bring it in on my lunch break. :)

OTOH, if I'm WfH and don't have a reason to go out, it can easily be the next day before I think to bring the cans back in.

Fun fact: people have different shifts that aren't 9-5 that would allow them to be at home at noon. The world is still running overnight and needs the staff for it.

I worked from home and had a trash service. However I didn't want anyone to see me getting the cans mid day in my pjs so I would wait until dark.

What do you mean by pick up their cans midday? Is it an American thing?

What apartment complex has a bin for each resident?

Hard to differentiate from people who work swing shifts, night shift, random service industry shifts, or are unemployed. It's only indicative of (if anything) people who don't work M-F day shifts. Not really sussing out much.

I work swing shift and usually bring them in when I go to work around 1pm. Just cause I'm bringing them in later doesn't mean I work remote.
