Wisdom tooth pain is worse then childbirth, amirite?

If you look at OP's profile, she's obsessed with medical stuff. She's not a reliable narrator. And she's using antibiotics interchangeably with novocaine.

I dunno, having another live grow inside you for the better part of a year, and then pop out, is pretty invasive. Enough to have had a well-known horror alien movie be based off of how invasive it is. I do get your point, but I found the invasiveness point to be a lil funny. Lol

That's true. And I think pain can feel all so vastly different. I found bone pain to be a deep pulsing throbbing sensation. I find teeth pain is exactly what you say, you can't just ignore it. It's forever there. Nothing else exists while it's there. Especially really serious pain. Like I would rather be hit over the head with a frypan and I'm being so honest right now. It's an incredibly sharp pain

I can 100% accept and agree that tooth pain is worse than childbirth for you. All pain is different for everyone. I know someone who had four kids and in her words "it was like shelling peas". My own childbirth experience was excruciating and lasted for three days, but I tolerate dental stuff fairly well. Everyone is different and you're entitled to say what your experience and opinion is.

why it's wrong though. It's her opinion, based on her past experiences. You say, that her experiences are not valid? You say, that her pain wasn't there? You say, that she can't make comparsion of those two pains? or what's the problem with her opinion?

childbirth is a lot longer, and much more painful than a piddly 20 minute toothache from a wisdom teeth....

yeah you dont need to look at the profile for that. OP was comparing wisdom teeth shenanigans to giving birth

This is a stupid analogy. perhaps being shot or having a limb hacked off is immensely worse and sudden excruciating agony. Were you in pain with increasing contractions for 20+ hours? Were you pushing a baby out of your bits? No. So give thanks for the invention of anaesthesia.

Did you go to an old timey barber or something? Why would any dentist remove wisdom teeth without sedation or any form of anaesthetic? That doesn't make sense

Ah, yes. Two very different types of pain that happen in different parts of the body. Totally comparable.

I've given birth and I've had wisdom tooth pain. There is no comparison. None at all. Childbirth was without a doubt the worst pain I've ever experienced. I don't know anyone who would say otherwise. Maybe you just have a low pain tolerance.

The pain of childbirth is accepted as some a rite of passage to being especially worthy. You can't take that away.
