Being "constantly busy" isn't a flex it usually just means you're bad at managing your time. amirite?

If you're building up your own business and the reason you're busy is because it's so successful, I would say that was a reason to brag. If you're constantly busy because you foster young children that's something to be proud of. Maybe learn not to think in such black and white terms. Life is more complex.

Even is it's not yet successful it's still good. Without effort nothing becomes successful. Not sure about bragging, being humble is very important trait

Sure you have a point, but the amount of people ‘constantly busy' for good reasons is very very low

Rich people oppinion. Most people are busy because they have to be.

There's a difference between being busy and being "always so busy".

I have two young children. "Constantly busy" isn't a flex, but a reality.

I tell people how insanely busy i am all the time. When my boss calls me he apologizes because he know how much work I have. I work like 2 days a week, I do have my hands in a lot of projects buts the glacial pace of everything means I can list everything I'm working on and make it seem like a mountain but it's negligible

There are plenty of "constantly busy" people who are doing nothing productive. They are just constantly moving, balls of frenetic energy. They won't sit down. I wonder if it's a sign of some sort of mental illness?

Me I'm mentally ill 😷
by Anonymous2 days ago
Why don't you sit down and relax? What do you feel when you try to sit and relax?

Overwhelming anxiety that must be burned off right now.

I'm busy cause I have toddlers, work full-time, and have no support network. There is no "managing my time well" at this stage of my life. And it's weird that you lump everything in together....sounds like they just don't want to spend time with you tbh, whoever this is about.

Agree, if you have to tell people (or convince yourself) that you're always too busy, then you're either bad at planning or trying to make yourself too important.

I mean some people are just genuinely busy my schedule is set in stone about 2 weeks ahead of time their is absolutely no way you are going to be able to have spontaneous plans with me I'm in collage five days a week from 9-5 at the least work a part time job have regular doctors appointments have to study and any free time I have is taken up by the friends that ask what one doing first . Not something I'd brag about but I am constantly busy my friends are well aware of this

Or they manage their time well and fill in the free time with things that they enjoy?

OR it's sometimes a way to avoid certain people

I'm gonna assume you're a teenager who lives with his parents, OR a young adult with not much going on in their life aside from 9-5 while renting.

Couldn't agree more. I have a coworker who's "constantly busy" yet she produces the same amount of work (at a lower quality) than the rest of us who aren't. She says yes to everything, then immediately complains about being overwhelmed.

I hate it lol because for me, it reminds me of "friends" I had in high school who would text me all the time but any time I tried to make plans "oh, nope! Can't! Busy busy busy!!!" (I wasn't exactly popular and I found out later they were just too embarrassed to be seen with me). I decided to write anyone off who acts like that or uses the "busy" excuse because it's incredibly annoying. I don't believe they are that busy, and if they are then they clearly don't have time for friends. It's worked out well for me.

I'm not sure if people wear being busy as a badge of honour as much of those that have nothing going on take it as a personal attack.
