There was a job I applied to that got a thousand applications within a minute of being live. Jobs are, in fact, thin on the ground right now, and they are expecting more work for less money. My mom got paid the same amount in 1994 that I get paid in 2025, even with all the inflation. This isn't an unpopular opinion, it's a ridiculous opinion that's easily proven to be a falsehood.

I mean when people say it's hard to find a job, they aren't talking about temporary ones in shops or bars… people want to start a career after college, not work in a bar because they literally have to have near impossible standards for an entry level job that pays minimum wage.
