What I want to know is why it's so damn expensive. $15 for a chocolate bar the size of a KitKat. Insanity.

It is marketing, I imagine. The product was apparently created due to an oversupply of Pistachio's, so it isn't like it was due to a lack of supply of ingredients - if what I heard is true. Chocolate has gone up in price generally too. Lindt were selling a regular bar for £10 in the UK. Double the price of any other bar of the same size they do (150g bars). Pistachio is trending at the moment, so they can afford to whack up prices.

It's a good lesson, though. Something can be decent without being the "best thing since sliced bread." It's just a reminder to be a little skeptical of the hype, especially when it comes to stuff that's being sold to you. Glad you got to try it and form your own opinion, though. Now you can sit back and laugh at all the people still drooling over it.

I like it tbh and I'm not a big chocolate person, but I do agree it's way too expensive. I've only bought one of the actual bars once from a local coffee shop just because I can't justify the price. But they make other Dubai chocolate items for cheaper so I get those instead

I think it depends on the brand! Had one which was the first one ever and it was def better than I expected: nice Milky chocolate with some micro crispy chunks of pistachio. Honestly? Worth it. I've had a diff brand and that one was more a pasty pistachio feeling. I like the flavor blend but nothing special.

Had the best pistachio filled chocolate of my life in Italy, Amalfi. Dubai chocolate can't fill that void.

Gonna have to disagree ngl. The one I had was sweet, and the kataifi made it have the texture of a KitKat. I was upset I liked it🤣
