I agree, also to a lesser extent same thing applies to medical distress thats explainable but by rare conditions that doctors dont typically know about.

I was misdiagnosed when I was a teenager. I went to the doctor for over two years with severe headaches and dizziness...long story short, they told me I had depression. Nope, baseball sized brain tumor.

I absolutely agree with you on all points (being a zebra myself) except I am curious why you think women deserve greater or special sympathy? Also why are we not paying as much attention to the pain of children? To me, this is a basic human thing for all people.

If you take into consideration that women experience measurably more medical al gaslighting, and the knowledge that ALL medical research has been done exclusively on men (meaning we don't actually know how the female body works.) their opinion makes more sense. Men have an edge in the medical world because they are more likely to be believed, for one, and for two, we actually know what's going on with them, so diagnosis' are literally textbook. Women do not get that experience, because medical research and testing for the past 200 years has been done exclusively on and about men.

Sadly, studies suggest women are statistically less likely to be taken seriously regarding pain. It's called the "gender pain gap". It's even worse for WOC.
