+96 Playing online games with friends is not fun and stressful for no reason, amirite?

Why not eat your dinner and do your chores, then game with them? Seems like that would solve some of your concerns.

Sounds like you are just worrying too much. No one cares if they have to wait a few mins for a friend to pee and everyone knows that life happens sometimes and there is nothing you can do about it. If I ask a friend to play and they said "I can only play for about an hour sorry, got chores to do" then I'd say "Okay lets play something that only lasts an hour". There is no performance involved at all. I just like spending time with friends.

well i mean, usually there is a reason, its called "fun" and usually playing with friends is way more fun than playing alone, witch makes all that planing and sacrifices worth it. but if its not worth it to you then noone is forcing you to play with your friends.

I think you're overthinking it due to anxiety. I've played MMOs with groups and some people drop off to go eat and get back on later or run off quickly for a toilet break and no one cares.

A lot of online games seem to be structured differently these days and more about getting you hooked to spend more time and money on them.

Play games where you can take a break and others can continue playing? It's a glorified zoom call tbh.

I've just never liked playing video games online. Gaming is my "me" time and knowing that there's other people in the same game with me just stresses me out. Lol

There's something instinctual that speaks to the primal brain when you work as a team with your homies to achieve a goal.

Sounds like more of a planning issue. I like making my primary chore doing day Friday after work. Clean up the house and put stuff in the washer or whatever so I have most of the weekend to not have to do much. Try front loading your chores/meal prep so you have dedicated free time
