+60 People blame the people instead the system waay to much, amirite?

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 2 days ago

Easier to change to try to change/help one single person than the entire system. Although you are correct, just the reality of how we work.

by Krisbarrett 2 days ago

Given most people cannot even fully agree what the "system" truly is, I imagine it would be hard to change

by Krisbarrett 2 days ago

i think most of the issue stems from people not exactly knowing what the problem is and searching who to blame. I hear it everyday, homeless people, immigrants, even neurodivergents, the poor, the rich, like common just get together or else the division will get bigger

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 2 days ago

And we can add one more to your list: The System. Saying that the system is a problem is just as easy as blaming anything. With all the same issues as the others, saying it doesnt do anything either. It doesnt bring any awareness. If you ask 10 people youll get ten answers for what the system is and another 3 dozen, often contradictory, answers as per how to fix whatever it is.

Well true

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 2 days ago

This is all evidence that the system is working exactly as intended (by those who support the system) And yes, it absolutely needs to change.

by lowejennings 2 days ago

Hope one day there will be more brave people who say anything against the system

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 2 days ago

If you're not terrified of what might happen if you don't, you might not be willing to work for pitiful wages or pay extortionate rent.

by lowejennings 2 days ago

You don't have to say anything negative about the system at all. Learn about Agorism, start building a community, and make the system irrelevant to you

I think people just blame too much tbh. Everyone has their own preferred targets of blame, and everywhere I go, particularly online, it feels like everyone's just fighting about whose fault it all is. "It's woke culture"; "No, is the right!"; "No, it's the boomers!"; "No, it's the billionaires!" Don't you guys just get tired of fighting all the time?

by That_Category_5209 1 day ago

good point. responsibility (regardless of who's fault it is) isn't brought up/ showcased enough

by Mariane55 1 day ago

the division has gotten bigger, i agree. Its annoying i get that too

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 1 day ago

If it helps you feel better, its not this hard for people without mental illness.

People believe in free will incorrectly and get off on justice porn. They want to see punishment of the purportedly wicked. It's sick. You're right and it's hard to watch

by Haunting-Singer-8955 1 day ago

Whats justice porn (i dont want that in my browser history, and no, incognito is not reliable lol)

This is how it works now in an international, high functioning society. If you want to escape it, go to somewhere in Central Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe where the economies are not as strong and not booming powerhouses like USA and Germany. Thats how life was in the past before technology and big international fairs, smaller closed markets and less stress but also less money and standard of living

If we all blame each other, then nobody will collectivize enough to hold the powers that be accountable and lose their benefits. It's by design, friend.

by curtis38 1 day ago

People blaming people. Anytime I read about how broken or evil the ‘system' or ‘corporation' or ‘government' is, I remind myself that these entities are representatives of hundreds of millions of people.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

You're absolutely right. It absolutely blows my mind that we've allowed the oligarchs to convince us that the ones with little to no resources are the ones to blame for the lack of and/or misallocation of resources. Poverty is required to exist for the billionaire class to exist, it's part of their equation. So lets say it loudly for those in the back.... poor people are not the ones to blame for society's problems, they're the victims.

by antwonkoepp 1 day ago

It's part of the system's ideology to make you think that the problem is you. If most people see it that way, not enough people will try to change the system.

by Dry-Departure3726 1 day ago

if you judge someone for being homeless then there's no one to blame but yourself.

by Gaylordrex 1 day ago

right?

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 1 day ago

Any system only works the way it works because people go along with it. People are the fundamental component of any system. This is true of mostly automated systems too. People have to activate the system and choose to keep maintaining the system. Problem is people. And many people, very irrationally, don't like to hear this.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

But like one thing i dont get, we see how fragile our system is? How many people suffer, why do people choose to ignore such things? it is impossible for few people to change something it feels like

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 1 day ago

Youre, again, noticing how fragile people are. Not "the system." Fundamentally, the issue always comes down to people. There is nothing fundamentally preventing me from helping my elderly neighbours from cutting their grass, or giving them a ride, or whatever tokens/gestures I give. I dont even really have money, what i can give is my help.

by Vaughn02 1 day ago

thats very true! I think why we have such a friendly environment is because of our garden! Everyone comes here, we dont care where you are from, but we all have a connection somehow. All are nice to eachother, people get some veggies, and stay to talk with us for hours!

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 1 day ago

Nah... Most of the time it's the peoples fault Laziness

by Live-Insurance-4627 1 day ago

Then how comes fragile people who just cannot contribute to society get judged a lot? I heard this in clinics, in self help groups, within the homeless. The work of doctors shows that i am not (yet) able to work? Why do we make everything a you issue? Like you said most, but maybe i am around more people who are unable to work due to illness

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 1 day ago

You should totally read "the myth of normal" - totally breaks down why we're stuck on a system that divides and conquers and sets us all in an endless competition, all on the service or capitalist consumerism that only events existing elites

People aren't broken, the system is. Homelessness, burnout, and poverty aren't "personal failures," they're design features of an economy that protects corporations while blaming individuals. The judgment should go up, not down.

by Apprehensive_Elk 1 day ago

thank you!

by Fuzzy_Philosopher 1 day ago

Yeah our broken system of unchecked capitalism has nothing to do with it. Everybody is just lazy 🤡

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I wouldn't say nothing to do with it. We just don't really have anyone on either side actually making a meaning case to do anything about it. We have sword rattling on the left about "corporate greed" and the same in the right with "insider trading" but nothing seems to ever actually happen. I agree that many people are just lazy.
