With more than 2 billion Christians in the world, how is this an unpopular opinion?

There are more than 7 billion non-Christian's

Now this is truly an unpopular take, maybe you should tone down on the weeds

Just don't let religion cost you any money. Religion is fine, read your Bible at home, religious organizations are long running scams to get your money, if they weren't they wouldn't own a whole country and pastors wouldn't have private jets.

You do know that your brain can hear, smell, see and feel things that aren't there, right? Those " voices" might be things your brain made up, and due to the culture that you are raised with, you, of course, assume that they are "the devil" and "demons". Personal experience is poor evidence for anything supernatural.

Get back to me when you have scientifically verifiable evidence to support your claims.

Thank you for clarifying you're incredibly gullible right from the start, it's refreshing honesty.

An opinion that becomes more unpopular by the day.

I truly believe everyone in life needs to believe in atleast something. Life can be pretty depressing and people tend to naturally become pretty cynical if they choose not to, that's why there's the saying is it more logical to believe in god or not to believe? Not saying people have to believe in the Christian god, people are free to choose whatever high power they want in my mind. That phrase to me though really resonated in my early 20s dealing with a lot of bs and things I couldn't control that had me in a pretty dark place, is it truly more logical to not believe in anything or more logical to if it leads to a life with more inner peace?

I think the phrase "whatever floats your boat" is apt here. Dosent matter what you use as your base, so long as you have one. A lot of people have abused Christianity in the past for the enrichment of themselves at the cost of others, such as those prosperity gospel preachers like Joel Olsteen and the insanity of the WBC family. But at the root of it all, when free of the manipulation of human beings religion can serve as a good way to help people through the challenges of life. Because end of the day, if your "end game" is nothing more than a lifetime of work till you die because you live paycheck to paycheck, or focusing on building a nest egg but somehow losing it all in some kind of catastrophic disaster, its very easy for your life to collapse and you fall into a "what's the point of it all and why do I keep on living" well. The adage of building your house on sand vs building your house on rocks is apt here.

Yeah bro I was hyper focused on Joel olsteen and mega churches at a certain point in my life, I started criticizing religion, Christian's, and church just generalizing everyone into this super small box. It was unhealthy for me and as I'm older now I look back and realize a lot of it was immaturity as well. I like the building your house on sand or rocks phrase, that really does make a difference on how someone handles those very very difficult times in life like you said. At the end of the day when it's all said and done death is inevitably the most terrifying thing to most people, it's a beautiful thing to be able to pass in peace believing in something bigger than yourself opposed to the fear of passing believing in nothing.
