I agree with you OP. A lot of people think rap is a genre when it's just a vocal technique that can be applied to any genre. Ed Sheeran absolutely raps in plenty of his songs, and it's entirely inoffensive. That fact that I've never heard anyone complain about Ed Sheeran rapping at least gives merit to the idea that people at least somewhat enjoy his sound.

Ok, I'll bite this bait, please elaborate what makes him a good rapper because I think there are definite hall marks of good rappers such as - Lyricism - Wordplay - Rhythm and Flow - Individual Style - Rhyme Schemes - Stroytelling ability How does Ed Sheeran excel in these or any other important categories for good rappers?
