If someone wants to take their life then they should probably be allowed to if they will jump through certain hoops. Overdosing on a recreational drug in a place someone with narcan can find you doesn't isn't going to cut it.

Yeah, they want to check out they can do so in a time and place that doesn't accomplice me. Seriously what kind of dickhead is going to choose to off themselves in a way that leaves people to deal with the trauma of witnessing it and not doing anything about it. Frankly I couldn't care less if they're pissed that I saved their life or ruined their high or whatever. They can deal with their issues on their own time. On my time I'm going to prioritise my emotional wellbeing over there selfish recklessness

I was put in this exact situation with a close friend. She attempted, failed, and I found her almost 24 hours later barely alive and in absolute agony. I rushed her to the hospital, she survived but never spoke to me again. That was probably 15 years ago and I'm still traumatized by what I saw. I know she wasn't in her right mind but it's incredibly selfish to do such a thing knowing someone will find you and have to clean up your mess. I can live with her being pissed at me forever but I couldn't live with myself if I had left her there or found her too late.

Can't this be the case for any injury? Should we not help save anyone then because they may have done it on purpose?
