History cant come back. We have to preserve it. People should restore old homes.

I agree that this is an unpopular opinion. I think those old homes should be preserved, but that's just my opinion, I'm not buying these homes, so I have no say. I do want to say tho: "boughten" is not a word lol. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be a grammar n*zi, or make you feel stupid, but my ex used to say that word and, if we were arguing, it made it impossible to take anything she said afterwards seriously. It's just bought. Valid opinion tho, as wrong as it is lol

Some sure, but we can't keep all old homes, sometimes homes are just to old and needs to get renovated, if we don't then they might just stand there and fall into ruin. And we can't keep expanding as space is limited, the way it's done where I live is that some houses are by law now allowed to get torn down, or changed to much, but a lot of houses are free to do with what you want.

Do you feel the same way about someone painting a piece of antique furniture? Or "restoring" a piece of priceless art so badly it's ruined? It's art and history, that's why people get upset about it.

OP saw that one Jesus fresco restoration from like 10 years ago and just couldn't understand why people were upset about the changes

Depends on the country's monumental building rules. If the house has a monument status in a country where there are official regulations, there usually are restrictions on what you may change.
