Where do you live that's full of psychopaths that do this? Nobody does this that I've noticed where I live in the Upper Midwest. The only real variance I've noticed is whether the pop is stored in the carton or loose in the fridge.

I keep my soda outside the fridge. I don't need it cold and if I feel I do, for example on an especially hot day, I have ice. Cold kills flavor and I'd rather taste what I'm drinking fully.

You must be drinking some weird ones then. I've had room temperature because I forgot to restock the fridge and it never tastes better. It tastes the same but warm. If you care that much about flavor, I'm surprised you'd want to water it down with ice.

Yeah I don't really like ice but just don't always have room in my fridge for all the cans. So I keep two or three in the fridge at a time and replace when I take one out. It's much crisper when it's been refrigerated.

I don't see how this opinion can be unpopular. I know several people who keep their sodas refrigerated . however I do know the select few who don't and I don't understand that. I don't like too much ice in my drink because it waters it down.

Because I usually drink it before the ice melts very much. The liquid is cold and keeps it from melting quickly. Then I'm left with ice I can crunch on.

I've been to these houses, but generally find that the soda kept at room temperature is for supply space reasons, and if you open the refrigerator there is a smaller stash of cold soda stored there as well. In my house, we just don't drink soda. Problem solved.

This isn't an unpopular opinion. It's just that, for parties where you have a lot of people, it's impractical to keep all that soda in the fridge, and you may not want people rummaging through your fridge anyway. A cooler is a decent compromise, but if you don't have one, people can live with just ice for a few hours.
