Turning every hobby into a "side hustle" ruins the fun, amirite?

It depends on the person, some do that part too just for fun, not to earn much of anything, but yes, not all hobbies should be side hustles, if you want to then go for it, but some hobbies are better to just keep as hobbies.

If the goal is monetization, yeah. If you're able to monetize it because you spent years learning how to do it well, go for it. My wife makes a significant amount of money buying and selling things from estate sales. But yeah, if you get into painting of drawing with the expectation that you're going to be racking in commissions, you may find yourself disappointed.
