Sitting at the beach all day is not relaxing, amirite?
by Anonymous2 days ago
Where are you from and how old are you?
by langworthdangel2 days ago
I think a lot of people find sitting at the beach all day boring, but that's because they want to go and explore and do activities/sightsee when on holiday. I wasn't expecting you to say it was because you'd rather sit in the hotel room all day 😂

I'm literally the most boring and introverted person ever. 🥲 Going to town is fun and all but I'd pick the hotel room over sight seeing and sitting at the beach. 🤷🏻♀️

Why don't you read a book?
by Anonymous2 days ago
You can swim or play sports at the beach. Why sit all day?
by Anonymous2 days ago
Then do that?
by Anonymous2 days ago
What about sightseeing on your own?
by Anonymous2 days ago
I hate staying on the beach doing nothing too! But I love to swim. My parents read books all day on the beach and I put on snorkeling mask and watch the fish underwater.

Add +10 years and me actually buying this vacation with my siblings FOR my parents. 😚

So you're mad that a holiday you organised and paid for isn't fun lmao? Why do you have to get up at 6? Just say "tomorrow I'm going to sleep in you guys go down to the beach without me." Sounds like you need to speak your mind and stand up for yourself tbh

One day you will work hard and then sitting on the beach will indeed be very relaxing
by Anonymous2 days ago
8 hrs a day?? Thats cute
by hammesdallin2 days ago
alright hard man
by Anonymous2 days ago
It's not a competition 🤦🏻♀️
by Anonymous2 days ago
It's not and 8 hours a day is plenty of work
by Fancy-Ad2 days ago
That's a normal working day in most of the developed world, and it's likewise normal for people to come home exhausted from that, depending on the job. And indeed if they work six days a week, then that's a longer working week than many people would tolerate.

I work 13 hour days I can't say been sat at a beach/pool is relaxing. Sure going in the pool is good but I can't spend all day there like my family use to do. If it was a expensive resort with actually comfy sunbeds I might think different lol

They've prolly worked "hard" for like two years and are young and need an expensive Disney vacation they can't afford. Cuz nature doesn't "do it" for them. No shame... I finally did my own Disney Vacay at 28... also seriously enjoyed nature vacations i had the privilege of going on. Certainly not in Europe. What a shame thst its been wasted on you.

That's why people bring beach umbrellas, beach chairs, cooler full of whatever is allowed, and an ebook reader. Falling asleep is allowed but please be in shade if you do.

The only way I can make the beach enjoyable is with food and let's just say I ate all my snacks just 5 minutes after sitting down.
by Anonymous2 days ago
Goes to movies Spends $80 on overpriced stale popcorn, candy, overcooked dry greasy hotdog, flat soda Sits down Eats everything Ten minutes later movie starts

If there's beach, there's sea --> swim, snorkel, play ball... Read a book Find other teens, they're probably equally bored
by Neat-Raspberry2 days ago
Buy some books and start reading them. Go for a walk when it's not too hot. I find doing nothing boring indeed as well.
by Anonymous2 days ago
The night portion of the vacation are my favorite parts. Exploring town, going for a walk, sitting at the beach, grabbing a drink at the bar. Now that I think of it, I'm probably just more of a night person than day person.

This is a preference thing. For some its relaxing for others its not. If you don't want to sit on the beach then don't sit on the beach. Personally i don't like a beach if its filled with people, but i think its fine if its empty or almost empty. But being on a beach is not my first choice.
by armstrongjedidi2 days ago
I suppose it depends on what beach or where you go to the beach. I've gone to beaches where it's just been so relaxing and it's not been overly hot and I felt the wind heard the waves. The birds and I just disappeared. It was so nice. I've also gone to beaches wereI couldn't relax for even five seconds.
by Anonymous2 days ago
Agreed. If I'm gonna just lounge around all day I'd rather be home and watch a movie, play a game or do some chores for a bit.
by Anonymous2 days ago
You get it !!!!
by Anonymous2 days ago
if you pay for a private beach with wait staff it is
by Anonymous2 days ago
You would benefit more from a staycation. Spend money on a nice hotel with a tub and stuff
by Anonymous2 days ago
This sounds heavenly. Oh my goodness, a staycation. I'm doing this next time!

I've been in Puerto Rico the last week and have practically lived at the multiple beaches here in Rincon.

I wouldn't want to sit on the beach all day either. I wouldn't take a trip where that's all there is to do to begin with. But thankfully my husband's on the same page. I also used to always be tired and wanted to sleep most of the day (for most of my life) and I still haven't figured out what's fully wrong w me but anti-depressant/adhd medicine has helped for now. (Not saying you need this or that you're actually just tired from your work, just relating that there was a time in my life I was on the same page)

The worst thing you can do on a holiday is what someone else wants to be doing. Go do your own thing! They'll cope.
by Anonymous2 days ago
Leave them to it. Go somewhere else and explore. Any nearby towns? It's not an unpopular opinion. Can't think of a worse holiday personally. My relationship with the beach is walking up to the sand and saying "yep, seen it" then going to do anything else.
by Anonymous2 days ago
I'm glad I'm not alone about it then. Looking around the beach right now, everyone is asleep or just doing absolutely nothing. This is my own personal hell.
