Do you think millennials made bacon popular? How old are you?

"Epic bacon ftw" as a cultural element is absolutely a millennial construct.

I feel like people take these little goofy niche millennial memes and blow them up and act like they're a representation of millennial culture… I swear I never saw "epic bacon" or anything like that when I was in high school, and now Gen Z swears that's all we were doing. We were obsessed with Harry Potter and twilight though…

I'll give you the cultural obsession with him is a little weird, but saying the movie isn't that good does feel like a bit of an L take

What exactly are you talking about? People have loved bacon for years before millennials

I love Shrek but it really was a product of its time. The first movie is a classic for a reason.

The hell are you talking about with millennials and bacon, I can safely say that bacon wasn't part of the zeitgeist in any of the schools I went to. As for Shrek, I'll agree that the people that take it too far are annoying, but the movie itself is great

You have 4chan to thank for keeping it alive with "shrek is love, shrek is life". That meme gave shrek a huge cultural resurgence as a meme.
