The amount of things I can't eat because they're slathered in BBQ sauce and so much mass market sauce uses HFCS. I had a diabetic scare a couple years ago, adjusted my diet hard core and got my numbers down from nearly 400 to normal range. But I can't have HFCS anymore if I don't want to have another issue.

Used to LOVE flavor enhancers until my GI tracked caved...now I stick to curative natural spices..ginger, garlic, cumin, oregano, thyme, cinnamon, cardamon etc

That's... not the result of using these Japanese cooking uses MSG (MSG was "discovered" by a Japanese scientist able to isolate the glutimic acid as a flavor component) and it's arguably one of the cleanest and most straightfoward cusines in the world
