I don't think you understand how large Roblox really is. The game has over 380 million monthly active users and the majority of them are under 13. Compared to Fortnite with 110 million monthly active users. With 18 to 24 being the majority of players.

A lot of things are "rated 18+" but there is little to zero efforts to actually monitor if "18+" people are the only one enjoying them or not. Don't get me wrong, you propose a good thing, but we were all children once and we had all "bypass" so many shenanigan to get into that 18+ websites.

Always regulate stuff and say 'its for the children' afterwards... good lord, let me pls change that planet.

So how would making games 18+ change anything? How are you going to enforce that? Sounds like people just suck. I live in the world the way it is, not the way I think it should be. These ideas seem good on paper but no one presents any sort of viable solution. They just bitch. If you're a parent and you worry about this sort of thing, do your most basic job as a parent and handle your child.

As if this changes stuff... crazy naive take

Perhaps in the future with the help of AI, voice chat in video games can be better regulated. For now, parents just need to be more vigilant about what they let their children play.

Never saw a friend's dad's playboy in the bathroom in the 80's during a sleepover at the neighbors when 10yr old? Hell sometimes it was Hustler if you had went over to "that" friend's house.

Age restrictions rarely keep kids out since it's easy to lie about your age, and it makes no logical sense for a game directed towards kids have the chat function be adults only. I think a better alternative is to have the option to remove/turn off chat similar to parental controls. Once chat is turned off in settings it can only be undone with a separate password set up by the parent. Truthfully, parents just need to teach their children better about internet safety, and monitor how they behave online.
