Oh wait a minute mister I didn't even kiss her, don't want no trouble with you.

You got that right, but it's like Neil Young said, it's better to burn out than fade away. They were a great band that would have made some more great music if the core members of the band hadn't lost their lives.

This guy probably hates puppies, too. My only beef with Lynyrd Skynyrd is that they have been overplayed so much that I don't want to listen to them. Same goes for most big-time artists.

More straight up wrong than unpopular.

This is a bad take. Skynards greatest hits are like 30 songs long.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

And their greatest songs easily make the greatest 30 songs of all-time too

Also people are still listening to southern rock 50 years later

How old are you?! Just curious.

They represent the vibe at that time. The culture. The politics of the world.

Exactly. It's like trying to explain the Beatles or Elvis or Nirvana or whoever. If you were there, great. If you weren't but you can relate, fine. Otherwise, I understand why someone might be tired of hearing about whoever. I went through a Stevie Nicks phase that I'll never live down.

Actually, the plane crash wasn't that fast. There was something like 11 minutes in between the whole plane knowing they were going to crash, and the actual crash. Pretty interesting story.
