Sure? But at least for things like waiting rooms, if you didn't have to wait, then you could get back sooner, which means you could then spend that time on that or something else you would rather do.

No because that's time I could be productive instead, so there's no guilt-free loafing around. While I'm in the waiting room I couldn't possibly keep renovating or take care of disabled relatives etc.

You can read a book or learn to knit or something, you've fooled yourself that this time cannot be productive I'm not saying all time needs to be productive, just that you seem to have arbtitrarily designated this particular time as not possibly productive. You could work from a tablet or send emails from your phone etc

I'm a people watcher and a nosy bugger. I love my commutes. I'm from London so use the tube and bus all the time. I've caught wind of all sorts of conversations and scenarios. All london born and raised kids are given zip Oyster cards. I used to take end to end random buses just for fun
