Anime comes from Manga which are the Japanese version of comic books. The weird grunts and noises and sounds are sort of like the equivalent of the BAM! or POW! punch panels in the old Batman TV show from the 60s. Just genre specific camp. For the most part I agree..... ....but that's because I'm an adult and the entire medium is aimed at teens and lower.

I started watching anime only after reaching adulthood and i gotta say its something you have to wave hand at , same as the humour and some anime cliché. I write it off for cultural diffirences and enjoy all the rest what i love abt anime.
