If they consented to it before death, of their own will, with no pressure, the proceeds benefit those that the deceased wants to benefit, and it isn't used to train AI, then sure, by all means. But often, it's done without actual proper consent, the only beneficiaries are the already-filthy-rich executives, and it gets used to train AI.

Using someone's likeness shouldn't matter nearly as much as it does. Actors are a tool for story telling. Except that peoples likenesses are valuable and used to make money.

Acting is an art, knowing that it's a real person creating the character and bringing it to life is the art. You can make CGI to fit any actor into any role and it'll be perfect. The beauty of film is having the right cast to fit the roles. It's just boring and predictable any other way.
