I didn't know this was controversial and have always considered toilet tissue as an emergency option. I assume people prefer it less because it's rougher on the face and not as soft, especially if you have a cold and have to blow your nose often, but works in an emergency if you run out of tissues.

Yeah people were talking about your 2nd part. And like a lot of the time toilet paper does not pair well with your face and leaves behind tiny residue, it's not comfortable by any means.
